Dinner party

On Friday the 13th of December, a dinner party will be organized for all delegates and accompanying persons.

The dinner party will take place in the city centre of ‘s-Hertogenbosch at the Orangerie.

The Orangerie is from origin a church. The church was renovated from 1989 to 1991 and on 6 September 1991 Orangerie was born. Nowadays, the church is used as a popular event location for congresses, staff parties, gala dinners, summer events, wedding parties and more. During the EU Congress of Shoulder & Elbow Rehab, Orangerie will be home for an evening full of music, dancing, food and laughter.

DJ

DJ TOMMY SANTO will give the evening a musical boost. The dance floor will not be empty as long as he is playing music.

TOMMY SANTO has been performing both nationally and internationally for a while now. Not only is he playing music regularly at various clubs and cafes in the Netherlands, every year he visits the Austrian Alps numerous times to get the Apres Ski party started. Furthermore, throughout the last years he has been performing in Brazil, Spain, Ukraine, England, Portugal and Greece.

TOMMY SANTO possesses all ingredients to make Friday 13 december 2019 an evening which will not be forgotten.

Young Researcher Award

We are pleased to announce that during the annual EUSSER 2019 Congress in Den Bosch (NL), EUSSER and JOSPT will present an award to an outstanding young researcher. The EUSSER Young Researcher Award 2019 has been designed to recognize outstanding young scientists and researchers in Europe who make significant contributions in the field of shoulder and/or elbow rehabilitation. The prize is a cheque for €1000 Euros and is provided by the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy and the organizing committee of the Congress. (ShoulderNetworks Netherland –SNN- and the Flemish Shoulder Network –SNV-.

The congressional scientific committee will evaluate the applications and select three nominees before October 1st. Each nominee will receive a free registration to the Symposium on December 13th in Den Bosch and a free ticket for the dinner on Friday December 13th.

Entry Requirements:

  1. To be eligible for this award, the researcher is either a PhD student or junior researcher who has finalized his/her PhD thesis within the past five years preceding the conference.
  2. The researcher should work in a European country (understood in the geographic sense as defined by Council of Europe’s membership rules), but is not required to have a European nationality.
  3. Be the first author and stated as contact person for the publication submitted.
  4. The content of the paper is shoulder and/or elbow related.
  5. Papers already submitted for the congress can also be submitted for the young researcher award.
  6. EUSSER committee members are excluded from participating for this award.
  7. The application should be in English and not be published yet.
  8. When selected among the top three nominees, the applicant should be willing to give an oral presentation at the EUSSER congress.

Guidelines for submission:

  1. Application should include the full text of the manuscript and the CV of the author.
  2. The Manuscript should be written in English and should be less than 4000 words. This is excluding title page, references etc.
  3. Written in accordance with the “Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals” by the Inter- national Committee of Medical Journal Editors, December 2013 (http://www. icmje.org/ and http://www.icmje.org/ urm_main.html)
  4. Formatted according to AMA style guidelines (American Medical Associa- tion Manual of Style, 9th Edition), except for the references, which should be numbered consecutively in alphabetical order.
  5. Pages should be consecutively numbered, starting with the title page. Pages should
    be continuously line numbered, with line numbers starting at 1 on the abstract. The
    font should be 12-point Arial, Times New Roman, or Courier. All measurements in
    the manuscript should be presented in SI units, except for those of angular measures, which should be presented in degrees rather than radians. The manuscript should be arranged as follows:
  • Title of the manuscript. Names of each author with their highest academic credential (ie, PhD), or most relevant professional designation (eg, PT), or both (eg, PT, PhD). Limit credentials to these 2 items only. Institution, city, state/country for each author. Statement of the sources of grant sup- port (if any). Statement of Institutional Review Board approval of the study protocol
  • Abstract
  • Text with the subheadings Introduction, Methods, results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • List the keypoints (max. 3).
  • References
  • Tables
  • Figures
